Electric Water Heaters: One Heating Element Systems
If you don’t have any hot water on one element water heaters the possible problems are:
The House Breaker Is Not Supplying the Required Amount of Voltage.
The Water is Turned Off.

The Drain Valve is open allowing water to continually run through the water tank.
One of the Power Supply Wires are Loose at the connection where they enter the water heater.
The Water Heater Thermostat Breaker is Tripped and Needs to be Reset by Pushing the reset button.
The Thermostat Contact is stuck open.
The Heating Element is Open – Burned Out.
